So a real quick comment on the flavor of the week and then, I am done with it forever. It is on [god damn it, Butters] Rebecca Black and her new song, Friday. One, is 'Friday the 13th' relevant enough to use as a parody for this song? For instance; the song is about Jason Voorhees and he's singing about his murdering rampage in Camp Crystal Lake on Friday the 13th - you know, he eventually ends up in a convertible with Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Pin Head, Leather Face and "The Leprechaun". Sound good? No. Fine.
Two, I have no idea why this song has gotten such a strong negative response.
I. Don't. Get. It.
Sure, it lends itself to the lowest common denominator and exploits people's so-called 'bad taste' in music and lyrics once again. But I am not here to critique this girl's song because I don't care, let her be, for fuck's sake. You see, her and her ilk are what pop culture produces, ladies and germs. To be this ridiculously emotional about one deemed 'terrible' song means you are ignoring the fifty billion, trillion other deemed 'terrible' songs in the world - and more importantly you are ignoring real issues that actually matter and effect your life. Your emotions and traumas are being exploited just as much as the people's who actually like her song. Use your energy on other things for crying out loud.
Moving on to some conspiracy theories on the song and this girl and then, I am done:
